Come rain or shine Wind in the Willows entertained families at Dosthill Park

Rainy showers could not spoil a special outdoor theatre performance that took place on Sunday, June16 at Dosthill Park. The much-loved classic children’s story was brought to life in the picturesque setting where the mixed weather did not stop families from having a good time.

Dosthill Park, provided the perfect location for the wildlife adventure of Wind in the Willows performed by Quantum Theatre.

The characters Mole, Ratty, Badger and Mr Toad headed off on their mad-cap escapades with a heart-warming tale of friendship, mishap and mayhem in Quantum Theatre’s brand new adaptation of the Kenneth Grahame family favourite.

While in the park, families were also able to discover the two-metre tall metal sculptures of the Wind in the Willows characters that have been created by sculptor and artist Luke Perry and dotted around the area for people to find when they visit.

The sculptures have been made as part of this year’s Tamworth in Bloom campaign ‘Blooming Tamworth’ – More than just flowers’, which is celebrating everything that makes Tamworth a great place, including the community, the town’s history and its many great events, such as the live performances in our parks and open spaces.
