Tamworth is definitely the place to be this summer!
JULY 22 to AUGUST 13, TAMWORTH CASTLE GROUNDS
Join us for Castle Summer Fest – three weeks of non-stop fun, games and entertainment, plus LIVE COVERAGE of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as we have been named as the only live Commonwealth Games Festival Site in Staffordshire!
We’ll be hosting a jam-packed three-week programme of activities in the stunning grounds of the historic Tamworth Castle. Download/view the schedule here (pdf)
Famous names, live music, fun runs, world record attempts, sporting demonstrations, inflatables – they’re all on the bill, plus so much more!
From July 22 to August 13, the picturesque Castle Grounds will be filled with wall-to-wall fun including huge summer concerts featuring a big line-up of world famous artists such as Russell Watson, The Overtones, Jack Savoretti, Mel C, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones, Tom Bailey of The Thompson Twins, Boney M, The Fizz, Toyah and Katrina of The Waves.
There’ll be a 5k fun, an attempt to break the world piggyback record, live music tribute shows, the UK’s biggest inflatable obstacle course challenge, a silent disco and demonstrations and fitness classes from local sports groups.
Commonwealth Games
From July 28 to August 8, we will also be showing coverage of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games on a large screen in Tamworth Castle Grounds, completely free of charge. A selection of games will be broadcast, together with the opening and closing ceremonies, so get your friends and family, bring your picnic blankets and experience the buzz of the contest together.

Parking
Riverdrive car park will be closed from 6pm on Wednesday 6th July 2022 - Tuesday 16th August 2022 for the Castle Fest Summer Events Programme.
Holloway car park will be closed from 6pm on Tuesday 19th July 2022 - 9pm on Wednesday 20th July 2022 for the Queen's Baton Relay.
