How do I book?

Or phone the box office on 01827 709618. At point of booking you will need to provide the make and model of your vehicle as well as the registration number. Booking is per car and only 1 booking can be made per person. Please make sure you have all the car details at point of booking. 

How will it work?

Please arrive at the event no earlier than 19:00. Stewards will check that your vehicles registration number matches the details provided and direct you around to the event site. Please have your print at home ticket available on your phone or printed out, should there be an issue with identifying your vehicle.

You will then be directed by the events team to the event arena where you will be shown where to park. Smaller vehicles will be parked towards the front and larger vehicles at the rear. Please bear with us as we safely get you parked up and ready for the event. We ask that you refrain from visiting the amenities until your row has been fully parked and await a signal from the events team.

Instructions on how to tune in to the audio and what to expect at the event will appear on screen prior to the film starting.

Where will the event be?

The drive-in cinema will take place in Tamworth Castle Grounds. The entrance will be at the end of the service road off River Drive next to Namco Funstation. Sat Nav: B79 7ND

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive no earlier than 19:00. Film will start at 21:00.

When is last entry?

Last entry will be 20:30. Vehicles will not be admitted after this time.

Are children allowed?

All screenings are rated PG and the event is suitable for children.

How will I hear the film?

The audio will be transmitted to your car stereo and full instructions will be given at the event. Assistance will be on hand should you experience a flat battery, however please avoid running your lights, heating and air-condition for the full duration of the event.

Are there restrictions on types of car?

Cars will be parked according to their size to maximize viewing angles. Larger vehicles will be parked at the rear of the event arena. The following vehicle types are not permitted:

  • Vans
  • HGVs
  • MPVs (7+ seats)
  • Caravans/ motorhomes
  • Motorcycles

I have a convertible can I watch with the top down?

To promote social distancing we ask that you keep your roof up. This is to protect you, our staff and other audience members. Additionally as the sound will be transmitted to your in-car stereo system having the roof down would create noise for other viewers.

Can I leave my car?

To enable social distancing and to conform to current guidelines we ask that you remain in your car unless you are using the toilet facilities or catering outlets.

Will there be food and drink?

A selection of catering outlets will be available at the event for you to enjoy. A queuing system will be in place so that 2 metre distancing is practised. We ask that you limit the amount of people from your car joining the queue to enable us to achieve this.

A selection of drinks will be available to purchase at point of booking and these will be given to you when you arrive at the event.

Will there be alcohol?

This event has a strict no alcohol policy.

Will there be toilet facilities?

Portable toilets will be available to use on site. There will be a queue system in place promoting 2 metre spacing between each person. Toilets will be cleaned at regular intervals and all will have antibacterial hand sanitiser. 

Are pets allowed?

Sorry pets won’t be able to attend. The only exception is guide dogs. 

Why is it at 9pm?

The film is screened with projection from the front which needs a certain level of darkness for the image to be seen. The film has been scheduled after sunset to achieve optimum viewing resolution.

Will the event take place in bad weather?

The event is designed so you can experience the film from the comfort of your car. If we experience very severe wet weather due to the event taking place on grass or strong winds over 40mph the event may need to be cancelled at short notice. You will be notified by email and issued a refund.
